First club in EC to gain RFU re-accreditation
Wendens Ambo RUFC have become the first Eastern Counties club to gain RFU re-accreditation status.
Wendens Chairman Charles Gilbank who steered the club through the process says ‘the re-accreditation process has enabled the club to step back and review our structure and development leading into the new season.’
RFU re-accreditation occurs 24 months after the club has gained initial accreditation, the process involves reviewing the existing statements and updating them of any changes that may have occurred in the past 24 months.
RFU Rugby Development Officer Jonathan Pearce says ‘the reaccreditation status is a great achievement for the club, not only to see how they have developed over the past 24 months since the club gained initial accreditation but to ensure they have a clear developmental plan over the next 12 months. The re-accreditation has allowed the club to identify, volunteer & coach succession planning and qualified referees as their focus for 2014/15.’
